TEN hedge a bet on their in-house production with the game show series “Sígueme el rollo”

3 August, 2016

Secuoya Contenidos will begin the production of the Spanish version of “Deal With It” in the next few days. The programme, produced by Secuoya Contenidos for TDT channel, unites two very popular genres - game show and hidden cameras - in a format that TEN already broadcasts in its North American version.

Jokes, hidden cameras, contestants whose sense of humour is put to the test, famous guests and an earpiece. With these features, Secuoya Contenidos undertakes the production of “Sígueme el rollo” a game show based on the format of the internationally successful “Deal With It”, which is currently broadcast by the same channel.

“Sígueme el rollo”, which begins production in the next few days, combines two very important television genres: a game show format and hidden cameras, putting the contestants in compromising and, above all, very funny situations filled with humour. The contestants are offered the chance of cash prizes, in return for spontaneously testing their companion, without raising suspicion, the result of which is highly entertaining.

“Deal With It” (Sígueme el rollo) will also count on the presence of a presenter who is in charge of giving ‘secret orders’ to the contestants, assisted by a celebrity guest who will help the presenter test the capabilities and nerves of the contestants. In this way, very well known faces from various settings of Spanish society will be co-authors of the tests that the contestants are subjected to.

The challenges, as they are fulfilled, become increasingly more difficult, which are a secret between the programme and the contestant, whose companions will remain unaware of what is happening, without even suspecting that their partner, child, friend, or neighbour is receiving orders via an earpiece telling them to do outrageous things. Make a spectacle of yourself, push your partner to the very limits of their patience or put yourself on the spot in a restaurant: the prize for signing up to a contest in which only they know who is participating is not only financially appealing, but it is also a fun way of testing your limits…Furthermore, it tests the courage of everyone involved in appearing on the show and accepting the challenges that the programme poses.

The space, currently in pre-production, will be one of the strong points of the upcoming season at TEN, who have demonstrated since their creation, that entertainment, the most enjoyable content and national production are in their genes.

“Deal With It” (Sígueme el rollo), TEN’s version of the popular North American “Deal With It” is awaiting its premiere this upcoming season, “Deal With It” is presented by the popular comedian Theo Von who has become a very well known face within the TEN’s programmes. The format has been adapted in a dozen countries (Denmark, Colombia and Canada, to name but a few) with great success, and it has achieved great popularity.
