The Television Viewer Association in Catalonia, TAC, has awarded the 2014 Special Zapping Award to “Tu oportunidad”, a show produced by Pulso (Grupo Secuoya), which was aired for the first time last autumn on TVE 1. Manuel Salas, general manager of Pulso, received the award.
The highly attended event, which was held last night at the conference hall “Palau de Congressos de Catalunya” in Barcelona, was co-presented by Juanjo Pardo, the presenter of “Tu oportunidad”.
With this Special Award to Pulso’s talent show, Catalan viewers, who have been awarding these prizes for XIX editions, highlighted “the encouragement and support offered to personal initiatives and entrepreneurial spirit in the world of business, in a difficult economic context.”
The show “Tu oportunidad” was aired for the first time on the 30th of October. The program aims at finding business projects that are capable of turning brilliant ideas that require financing into successful businesses. Over 1000 guests attended last night’s event, including many representatives from the authorities and personalities from the world of communication and culture, along with the presenters themselves and the Zapping finalists. The Zapping Awards are the only prizes awarded in Catalonia to audiovisual entertainment by means of people’s votes. Unlike other awards, the Zapping awards reward quality and leave aside the viewer ratings.
TAC’s partners choose the finalists in each category, and a jury, chaired by the President of the Catalan Viewer Association, Josep Maria Guerra, casts the deciding vote.
