The prestigious Miami market came to an end and culminated in many proposals being accepted to provide wide ranging content for multiple channels in Colombia, Honduras and South Africa
This January, Grupo Secuoya attended NATPE (Miami, 20th to 22nd) in order to present its catalogue of wide ranging products which range from television formats to content shows. Among the new content offered by the group, “Something to Celebrate” which was produced in Spain and recently released during primetime on Wednesdays for channel Antena 3, was celebrated as one of the highlights. It stars a traditional family and is divided into monographic chapters based on the various celebrations that are held (weddings, birthdays, communions …). It is a comedy that is easy to adapt to different countries with a fresh approach and is suitable for all audiences.
A number of other content titles have been well received by the international market: “Soul Out”, “Planeta Alucinante”, “Surviving the Wolfpack”, “Tribus” and “The Shower”, were sold to a total of 12 countries including Peru and the United States. Indeed, during the celebration of the Miami market, the ongoing interest that “The Shower” attracted has now led to talks about exporting the format to South Africa, Portugal and France.
A daily comic strip called “Por fin es lunes”, a kitchen format (“Cena al rescate”) and a coaching programme focusing on road safety all formed part of the catalogue of new content for this edition of NATPE.
It has become very clear that in 2014, America was a natural market for Secuoya with its numerous performances, sales and releases by the audiovisual group in recent months. The opening of an office in Miami and Secuoya’s successful arrival in Peru has brought many business opportunities to the company within the American continent. In fact, November came to a close with a strategic agreement with the Peruvian channel, Frecuencia Latina, whereby Secuoya become a reference supplier in prime time content via Imizu, its local producer. The group has also signed an alliance with the Chilean producer Fabula to operate in that country. Together with the newly created brand, Fabula Television, they plan to become market leaders the Chilean production and distribution channels..
