The prestigious TV market kick-starts this Monday in Cannes
Among the new developments in distribution from the international area of Secuoya Group, MIPCOM is highlighting the second season of the well known TV series “Victor Ros”. Produced by Secuoya Contenidos and winner of numerous awards, the series will return to TVE in November with new cases for the best Spanish inspector of the 19th century. In the eight new episodes, the action moves to Linares, a prosperous area in Andalusia, where Ros will face bandits, criminals, and a dangerous organisation whose intentions are to destroy his life.
Meanwhile, SCD will present “La Vega”, a reality show produced through their partner Secuoya in Chile, which consists of 12 episodes and is broadcast on TVN with successful audience ratings. Somewhere between a reality show and a public service, this programme proposes to redirect several youngsters who lack aspiration and act as a role model to aid them in their personal development.
Furthermore, among its proposals this year, the company incorporates a new transmedia format and an ambitious project, which is the result of an agreement with Scenic Rights. This is the series “Che, The Survivors” (Che, los sobrevivientes), a television project that tells how survivors escaped Che’s guerrilla in Bolivia after his death. Also worth highlighting is the health coaching and slimming programme “The Big Challenge” (El Gran Reto), a programme in which eight contestants aspire to attain the best version of themselves as conveyed by their coach. The eight coaches have the same age and build as their protégés, but the big difference is weight, lifestyle and nutrition. The eight contestants compete with each other to get as close as possible to the physique and lifestyle of his mentor, with weekly eliminations for those couple who do not achieve it.
As a complement to the great commercial action by Secuoya Content Distribution at MIPCOM, the festival will also be a space for searching for new territories and projects. Accordingly, agreements will be endorsed, such as that reached between Secuoya Content Distribution and ITV-Intermedya for the representation of the entertainment company’s catalogue in Turkey and the Middle East. The search for and development of projects in Europe, Latin America and the USA, i.e. the company’s long-term targets, also continues.
