The production company Café Entertainment takes shape in Extremadura

1 April, 2013

Grupo Secuoya and six other audiovisual companies are the main shareholders. Entertainment and fiction for Extremadura, with a clearly international scope.

Café Entertainment has set itself the goal to produce great entertainment and fiction formats adapted to any audiovisual format. This new company started taking shape in November 2012, with Orange Produtions and Grupo Secuoya at the helm. Orange Productions, a company with headquartes in Zafra, holds 36,5% of the share capital. Grupo Secuoya holds 37,5% and the remaining 26,5% of the share capital is distributed between five other regional producers: 1080 Líneas, Teyso Media Extremadura, ACC, Cerezo Films and The Glow. The two latter companies are exclusive providers.
Seven audiovisual producers have joined forces based on their previous experience in order to form the first large company of this sector in Extremadura. Café Entertainment was founded with a clear goal: to produce content for television and for any audiovisual platform, given the current economic climate.

“This is a real quality and competitive Project”, says Juan Frutos, who is from Monesterio (Badajoz) and CEO of the company. Café Entertainment brings together the experience of six important regional companies in the production of entertainment and fiction formats, as well as in postproduction and animation. Their audiovisual productions alone have been awarded over 50 recognitions for their quality. This is complemented by Grupo Secuoya’s vast experience, which is present throughout the value chain in the audiovisual sector. Secuoya creates and produces content through its subsidiary companies New Atlantis, Pulso TV and Doble Filo. Moreover, the group’s companies B&S and CBM provide national and regional TV channels with technical services. Café Entertainment is made up of regional companies that have produced successful content for the regional channel since it started out in 2005: “A Caballo”, “Tierra de Toros” and “Dehesa Brava”, run by Teyso Media Extremadura; “Nada Corriente” and “En La Raya” produced by Orange Productions, “A Remojo”, produced by 1080 Líneas; “Los González” by “Cerezo Films”; and “Más Toros Más”, by ACC Producciones.

However, Café Entertainment does not only have its eye on the region, but also on the international arena. “We want our content to be produced in Extremadura, and that our productions reach other parts of the world, either as “key in hand” or as paper formats. We have many ideas in Extremadura and we would like to export them” says Frutos. Café Entertainment has launched its webpage www.cafe-entertainment.es, where you will soon be able to see all information on the company.
