SCD, Grupo Secuoya’s international division attends Cannes with a catalogue full of highlights, including the revolutionary “Soul Out”, a documentary series, a survival reality show, the most awaited fiction series and “The Shower”, the talent show that has been exported to 12 countries
This year, SCD attends the market with a new format entitled “Soul Out”, which aims at revolutionising the prestigious market that takes place from October 13th to October 16th. The show is based on a universal question: what would you sell your soul for? The competition challenges 10 participants by offering them what they have always dreamed of in exchange for pushing themselves to do some of the hardest things they can imagine. SCD’s goal with this show is to repeat last April’s success at MIP TV thanks to “The Shower”, the talent show that placed the Spanish company in the limelight of the entire international audiovisual sector. For this reason, “The Shower” will once again be part of a catalogue that will also include the other most demanded TV genres. Several countries, including Russia, the United States of America, Denmark, Germany, Belorussia, Moldavia, Peru, Kazakhstan, Thailand and Vietnam, have bought options for “The Shower”.
Another strong candidate among the group’s own shows on offer is the survival competition “Surviving the wolfpack”, a reality show made up of eight episodes, in which a group of 10 candidates aiming to win a substantial cash prize will have to survive in the Guadarrama Sierra, in Madrid, by using their ingenuity, endurance skills and physical strength to fight against the elements and climatic conditions of one of the most unique mountainous areas in Spain.
In addition, the group will market fiction series, such as “Vive Cantando”, which has a very favourable career ahead: the sale of options has been closed in Italy and the group is currently well into negotiations with countries such as Chile, Mexico and the United States of America.
Regarding fiction, “Algo que Celebrar”, which is already being filmed for Antena 3, is yet another strong candidate.
Regarding documentaries, SCD will present “Tribes” at Cannes, a large format series that unveils the secrets of four ethnic groups from northern Kenya, in the regions bordering Sudan, Ethiopia and Somalia.
Grupo Secuoya is becoming increasingly visible and consolidated on the international arena. The group’s unstoppable expansion starts with its presence in Peru (following its partnership with the production company Imizu), and entering the market in Chile, Colombia and Mexico by the end of the year, as part of the group’s policy to seek alliances with international partners.
