This decision renders the Secuoya Group the country’s largest TV service provider.
Eleven months after submitting a tender, the Secuoya Group, through its company CBM, is the ultimate contract winner of the indirect management of the autonomous entity in Murcia. The Group, which was confident throughout the process that its proposal was the most solid and had confidence in the technical experts’ professionalism on the Bureau of Procurement who selected the project as the most viable from among the other four proposals, now welcomes the final adjudication after the rejection of the other applications by the central administrative court for contractual resources.
“Upon examination of the applications submitted by the remaining applicants, the CENTRAL ADMINISTRATIVE COURT FOR CONTRACTUAL RESOURCES has resolved to reject the bids submitted by MEDIAPRODUCCION, S.L.U. (MEDIAPRO), VIDEOREPORT, S.A. (VIDEOREPORT), UTE CANAL 21 MURCIA, S.L.U.,GRUPO ZZJ,S.A. CONEXIA BROADCAST SERVICES, S.L. and TATAMIA SOLUTIONS, S.L. (CANAL 21) and GRUPO EMPRESARIAL DE TELEVISON DE MURCIA, S.A. (GTM), with regard to the awarding of the contract for the indirect management of the public service for television audiovisual communications in the Region of Murcia, on 9 February 2015, which is confirmed in all respects”. With the previous resolution “the Court simultaneously lifts the suspension of the procedure”. Thus, “the aforementioned resolution, the tendering process shall continue in accordance with the procedure laid down by the tender specification sheet and the application standards”.
From the very beginning of the process and including during processing of the applications submitted by the remaining applicants, Secuoya has demonstrated its total and absolute respect for the legal procedures that make up the process. However, the audiovisual group would like to express strong disapproval of the smear campaign and the false and baseless accusations which, through press releases and even using their own resources as a vehicle, some of these companies have resorted to in an attempt to defame Secuoya from a business and financial point of view and to discredit it as the manager of a channel such as that of Murcia.
It must be emphasised that the Secuoya Group won out against the other four competitors based on the key factors of its twenty-first century model of television: modern and innovative, aimed at stimulating unique and independent production, following a roadmap on which the broadcast emission is not alone and creating direct added value for the economy by creating almost 80 jobs immediately and over 300 indirect jobs.
From now on, the Secuoya Group shall manage indirectly the public television of Murcia, spanning the transmission of programmes, information and the marketing of advertising. This development makes the Secuoya Group the largest provider of television services in the country.
Secuoya, which possesses the capacity and the experience of a group leader in the outsourcing of services, content creation and audiovisual services, will equip the Region of Murcia with a major production centre which, with the external projection and presence in other territories, will allow content to be exported both inside and outside of our borders.
Secuoya’s mission in Murcia will be to provide a service that creates jobs, stimulates investment in production, supports content that upholds quality standards, the identity of Murcia, local proximity and independence, advocates the latest technology, embraces the latest screens and all of this within a flexible and solvent organisational structure. This is a clear expression of support for the audiovisual sector, through the platform it offers the Region which will equip it with an outward-looking view, expanding its national and international presence.
