Secuoya has reached a strategic agreement with Banijay International. The Spanish group will distribute their new Peruvian partner’s extensive catalogue. The company has been successfully operating in Peru since last year. The agreement also includes a production partnership between Secuoya’s Peruvian production company Imizu and Banijay International at a local level, together with other companies that work hand in hand towards promoting new business opportunities in Latin America.
Meanwhile, Secuoya secures and strengthens its position in Peru by taking on the distribution of one of the richest and most varied catalogues in the market, with formats ranging from game shows and entertainment, to factual, docu-realities and lifestyle programs.
Carlos Benito, Director of International Development of Secuoya commented: “We are delighted to be partnering with Banijay International in Peru. This agreement marks the first step of an ongoing collaboration which, we hope, will be followed by further joint actions in the field of audiovisual content production and distribution.”
Sebastian Burkhardt, SVP International Distribution at Banijay International added: “We are confident this new joint venture will give us a deeper relationship with local production and broadcasters in Peru. We have recently had several of our top formats produced in Peru – including Stars in Danger and Mentor – and look forward to expanding our productions in the region through Secuoya.”
