As from today, the Murcian people have a tailor-made offer for all at the touch of a button, with an ambitious schedule including magazine, current affairs and informative programmes, large debate formats, fiction and a strong commitment to the younger audience
Today is a big day for the regional television channel in Murcia. After months of exhaustive work shaping a dream, after administrative battles defending a project and the conviction of being on the right track to achieve the television that all the Murcian people deserve, TV is under the scrutiny of the audience today. Following the transition of the indirect management of the broadcasting entity by Secuoya on the 1st of April, Murcian television has been earning the trust of the people (with milestones such as a 7,7% share during the last election night), the credibility of criticism and the encouragement of a sector witnessing the economic injection that 7TV means for the local audio-visual industry.
Beyond the ambitious programming that will be a surprise for all, both for its content and television billing, the new 7TV has landed in the homes of the Murcian people with a clear objective: to keep an eye on the territory and its people. The new channel’s commitment is, primarily, to be close to the Murcian people. Thus, during the first month of regular broadcast, each and every one of the 45 municipalities of the Region will be present on 7TV’s programming. Likewise, as far as the local audiovisual industry is concerned, the channel works with 85 % of the Murcian producers in their first 12 months of life. The new television offering in Murcia is comparable to that of any other channel: the spectator will not see the difference between the level of quality and the professionalism behind what this channel offers and what can be found on other signals.
Murcia TV on the starting line
Magazine and debate programmes, large prime time formats, fiction, a strong commitment to the younger audience, current affairs and informative spaces. The schedule of the new 7TV is a true commitment towards quality, information, independence, culture, current affairs and the most competitive entertainment.
From Monday to Friday, 7TV will live up to its promise of being close to the local spectator by proposing programmes such as “En su punto con Baró” (“Al Dente with Baró”), a cooking programme with the local celebrity cook, María Dolores Baró. Next, the section just before the news bulletin is called “El Dardo” (The Dart) presented by Tati García. One of the pillars of the independence and rigour of 7TV’s offering are the news bulletins led by the News Director, Antonio Peñarrubia. He commands a prime time Sunday debate in which the calm and plural reflection of the topics that most affect and worry the Murcian people shall be the motivation behind a programme with prestigious collaborators, called “Murcia, lo primero” (Murcia goes first).
Antonio Hidalgo, as the master of ceremonies, presents the evening on 7TV Region de Murcia. The popular TV presenter and one of the most loved celebrities of our region takes the reigns of “Gente como tu” (People just like you) a magazine programme shown every afternoon from 5 to 7 PM. The programme is a compilation of genres among which we can see debates, interviews and competitions. Next up is the turn of the current affairs and hottest features. On “Murcia Conecta” (Murcia Connected), Maria Pina takes us to the villages and regions of Murcia with features and live connections. Antonio Hidalgo has a double appearance on 7TV with a special edition of his “Gente como tú” (People just like you) shown on Friday’s prime time. Testimonies told first-hand from the residents with surprising and admirable stories, tributes from all the family to a grandmother on her 100th birthday or general acknowledgements.
With “ADN, el murciano perfecto” (DNA, the perfect Murcian) ,we will learn about the stories of internationally renowned artists, the most prestigious researchers, leading businessmen and ambassadors of Murcia.
The prime time documentary show will have a new slot in 7TV’s schedule with “Más que médicos” (More than doctors) a space where will meet healthcare professionals. “Yo recuerdo” (I remember), also shown on a weekly basis and on peak audience time, takes us back in time with the memories of other times.
Murcia is a party and 7TV would like to show this in a close and informative manner. On Saturdays, on the Access prime time we have “El corazón de la fiesta” (The heart of the party), an inside look at the pagan and religious celebrations of the region.
Weekends begin with the children as the target audience of 7TV. “Wasabi” is a children’s programme, very close to the little one’s universe. Respect towards the environment, recycling and how to look after our natural environment will have more than a notorious presence on Saturdays by the hand of “Murcia hace eco” (Murcia can be heard). In “Diario del Campo” (Country diary) 7TV complies with their mission of reaching every single part of the Region of Murcia and to reflect the reality of men and women of the countryside. “Voluntarios”(Volunteers), a space where we can put a face to the thousands of generous/empathetic people that dedicate their life to improving the conditions of others; and “Diario de sesiones” (Daily record) a programme about the people’s representatives at the regional, national and European levels, complete the offering of the new channel
Commercial opportunities
A TV channel with the features of 7TV is a window into business opportunities. Commercially, the television network and all the digital development offers the market (advertisers and communication agencies) all kinds of communication solutions thanks to the variety of commercial targets, sectors of economic activity, conventional advertising formats and those linked to contents that will bring the national and regional products and services to mass audiences.
